Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
The Tate Gallery, keeper of the nation's premier collection of British and 20th-century art, owns over 1000 works of art by women, representing some 228 artists. In celebration of this rarely seen group of paintings, sculptures and drawings, 20 women writers were invited to select and write about their favourite piece owned by the Tate. The result is this anthology which mirrors and marries women's creativity and imagination in two cultural forms.
Short stories, poems and essays by twenty women writers replying to twenty works of art by women in the Tate Gallery.
